Valentines Day

Hello everyone -
I realize that I have not been posting as much as I should be, and for that I am eternally sorry. I have decided to update because I am sure that I am not the only one experiencing the post Valentines Day blues.

Recently, I went to dinner with my ex-girlfriend, I will leave her name out for her privacy and security, lets just call her X. Actually, X seems to imply that she is evil, a spy or an evil spy. She is none of those things, although that would explain the lack of return phone calls, text messages and emails. Can you even get service in the Middle East? Better question, do the keyboards in the Middle East have the English alphabet or some Middle Eastern alphabet? Even better question, if she is indeed a spy in the Middle East, would that have made it a long distance relationship or since I didn't know she was a spy, is it still just a regular relationship? Wait, I think I am going off on a tangent, lets get this back to Valentines Day and we will just call her Ms T.

After our recent dinner and exchange of conversation, I realized a lot about myself. I realized that I was still completely head over heels for a girl that was not really that head over heels for me. She told me that she has a new boyfriend and that she never wants me to call her again. So while the date was not necessarily a success, I did come to terms with the situation. That was until Valentines Day.

Last Valentines Day I made Ms. T cookies that were the shapes of her favorite characters on Sex in the City and also made her dinner. It was great to see the look in her eye when she took a bite out of Sarah Jessica Parker's head. It was love, it really was, or at least that's what I thought. So after the revealing date a little while ago, I spent this last Valentine's Day alone. It was weird not having someone to cook and clean up after and to wait on every whim. I mean I still made cookies, dinner and bought flowers in case she called, which she did but she said she accidentally hit my name instead of Ryanto's name. Ryanto, pronounced Re-anto, is her new boyfriend and a really stand up guy. I moved a bunch of furniture for him over the summer and he said "Thanks" which was really nice of him. I did it again with the tangent, I guess this is just a little overwhelming to talk about so I will wrap it up

To sum up, I hope that everyone had a really great Valentines Day and that you got to spend it with a special someone. Hopefully your girlfriend is not a spy or dating someone else, because most Parmesan chicken recipes are only meant for two people which means you might have to get fast food for yourself.
